Honoring the Divine Feminine Workshop

Including the Goddess in Prayers, Rituals, and Ceremonies

ALL FAITHS SEMINARY Divinity School

Two Sundays: February 2, 2025 and February 9, 2024

1:30 to 3 pm

on ZOOM

Description of Course:

February 2 is the ancient holiday Imbolc. It is a celebration of the Celtic Goddess Brigid and represents the start of Spring. Brigid heralds a season of hope as she helps us move from the dark days of winter, back into the light. Many people today are seeking a deeper connection to the Divine Mother. They long for her wisdom, healing, and love and pray for her protection. This class focuses on how to celebrate her – not instead of, but in addition to, our Divine Father. It takes an interfaith and global view of the Divine Feminine and explores the goddess in different world traditions.

It will be offered in two modules and will give you a chance to connect with her personally, as well as blending her into your spiritual service.

Goddess history dates back to the earliest civilizations and the Divine Feminine lives on in religions and cultures around the world. There are thousands of goddesses, from many cultures and pantheons, known by various names and images. They represent not only the feminine aspects of divinity but also aspects of our humanity. Students Will: Discover ancient wisdom and the hidden history of goddess and learn how she is spiritually honored today.

What You Will Learn

Students will explore ways to include the Divine Feminine in their interfaith ministry or spiritual offerings and experience diverse ways to blend her into prayers, rituals, and ceremonies. Students will begin – or strengthen – their personal relationship with the Divine Feminine.

About the Presenter:

Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway, D.Min, MAPH, is a 1999 graduate of The New Seminary. She is an interfaith wedding officiant and a specialist in goddess spirituality, history, and cultural heritage. She has authored many books on interfaith topics and often writes about how to connect to divine wisdom through education, ritual, ceremony, prayer, and creative spiritual practices. Her books include The Goddess Pages, Goddess Lessons, Lakshmi Magic, Lakshmi Devotional, Alakshmi, Seshat Journal, Wedding Goddess, and Your Interfaith Wedding. She holds degrees in psychology, public history, and ministry. Find out more about her work at www.revlauriesue.com and www.yourinterfaithwedding.com.

It is a dream come true for me that I was asked to teach about goddess history and spirituality from the interfaith and historical perspective, looking at ways the Divine Feminine is and could be honored along with our understanding and belief in God. If you would like to learn with me, please save the dates: February 2 and February 9.

It is a special honor because I was invited by the ALL Faiths Seminary International -- which was founded by my spiritual teacher Rabbi Joseph Geleberman. I am teaching this an an elective offered through their Divinity School, so it will be for interfaith ministers and others who have studied there but ALL ARE INVITED.

The seminary has it's own enrollment system and link for my workshop but I also just wanted to share this here. IM me for more information and their official registration link.
